Back to work

Whee, the Giants won the Superbowl! I didn't really expect them to, to be honest. But I'm glad the Patriots lost. ^_^

Started on schoolwork last night during the game. It's going to take me a lot of work to catch up. I managed to get an accounting assignment finished, but I have another one yet for that class, and then a quiz and exam. Also, have to get through a Quickbooks chapter, which should be easy enough, and an exam on the first three chapters. Add to that the tax exam that goes up Wednesday (which I hope to God I can get an extension for or I'm screwed), two papers due on Friday for Advanced Accounting Issues, and whatever I missed for my writing course. And that's just what I need to do to catch up, so then I'll also have to get through everything I should be working on now.

I'm writing emails to all of my professors tonight, and sending them out first thing in the morning. I'm hoping they'll be patient with me. I have five classes to catch up in, after all. Plus, I would still like to go to DO if at all possible, and if I want to do that I not only need to catch up, but get ahead in the next few weeks. So I'll be working my ass off. I can't see my professors being unreasonable when I am clearly doing my best to get back on track. I just hope they understand that I'm still recovering, and have a lot of work, and it might take me a little while.

In other news, Shelly is coming over to visit tomorrow. I haven't seen her in nearly a year, and I'm excited. I probably won't get to see her for long; she's just coming straight after work. Unfortunately, that means I won't get to see Baxter (her dog) yet. Hopefully we'll be able to make actual plans to do something soon. And
hopefully we don't lose touch again, though I have her new cell phone number so it shouldn't happen.

Also, I was told after my surgery that there may be foods I won't be able to eat anymore. It all depends on the person. Some people have issues while others don't, and different people have problems with different foods. Judging by earlier, I don't think I am going to be able to eat cheeseburgers, which really sucks. I had a bacon cheeseburger and felt sick to my stomach for hours. I know it wasn't the cheese or the bacon, as I've had both of those since surgery. I'm not sure if it's just crappy fast food, which I could live with, or beef in general that I have an issue with. Going to try getting some decent steaks later in the week and giving them a shot. I might be able to eat some of the better stuff, that doesn't have very much fat in it. At least that's what I'm hoping for. I don't want to never eat burgers or tacos or steaks again!

That's enough for tonight. I have a lot to get done tomorrow before Shelly shows up so I should get to bed. Hopefully I'm feeling alright and don't end up sleeping too much. I've been getting up far too late, though I suppose it's all part of the recovery process.

Whoa that's alot to do. I'd say your professors should be pretty willing to give you extra time with that workload.

Yay, i hope you get to see Baxter soon, that Dog is adorable hehehe.

I really hope you get to go to DO:)

Woo Giants! I'm glad I stayed up until the middle of the night to watch the game :D

I have my fingers crossed that you can still eat steak, and that is the food of the gods! ;)
